Christmas Meal

The annual Lancaster CF Christmas dinner will take place on Tuesday 4th December starting at 8pm. The meal will once again be held at the award winning "The Borough" restaurant, Dalton Square, Lancaster. A favourite haunt of Michelin Star winning chef, Gordon Ramsay, the food is well worth sampling. The cost of the meal is £20 for three courses and you need to pay a £5 deposit to Vicky, our social secretary, ASAP. Dress code will be lounge suits for men and equivalent for ladies. If you would like to attend please contact Vicky at socials@exec.lancastercf.com and she will provide you with further details.

Debate Evening

Lancaster CF will be taking part in a party political debate on Monday 26th November in Fylde lecture theatre 1 at 7pm. For the first time you'll be able to see the Liberal Democrats, Conservative and Labour societies debate under the same rules that govern Parliament. Everyone is more than welcome and it's certain to be interesting to watch. The motion will be "This House has no confidence in the current Government".

David Trimble Dinner

Lancaster Conservative Future has been invited, by Lorraine Fullbrook (South Ribble PPC), to attend a dinner with Lord Trimble on the 31st January 2008. The event will be taking place in Leyland which is 20 to 30 minutes away from Lancaster. I have managed to get Lancaster CF a special rate of £25 per person. There is also a possibility that there will be a drinks reception before, but that will be confirmed at a later date.

Don’t worry about travel arrangements and payment; we will sort that out nearer the time. These events are always good fun, and I do hope you all can make it. If you would like to attend please let me know during this week so I can forward numbers on. You can contact me by email communications@exec.lancastercf.com. I know it seems early but these events do fill.

Conservative Market Stall

On Saturday November 24th there will be a Conservative Market Stall in town- to raise our profile locally. We will be asking people to sign a petition on the referendum and talking to people who approach the stall. There will be plenty of help for those who haven’t connected with the electorate before! It would be great if some of you could pop down for half an hour to an hour, perhaps in between doing some shopping, and help out on the stall for a bit. We will be there from 11am. If you can come email me back please or let me know at the next event.

Week 7 Social - Carleton

It’s one of CF’s birthdays on Wednesday so we’re doing a joint birthday celebration mixed with a CF social. We’re starting in Lonny bar at 7.30pm, doing a bit of a campus bar crawl and then heading to the Carleton. If you want to come you need to get your own Carleton tickets from the LUSU shop on the Monday. If you can’t make the bar crawl you can always meet us in Carleton and vice versa. Friends are welcome tag-alongs too. If you want to join us a bit later (probably heading to Carleton around 9.30 – 10pm) you can just call me to find where we are on 07751244097.
